Taro Leaves
Taro leaves are low in calories, high in fiber, and high in micronutrients. This contributes to several potential health benefits, such as promoting a healthy body weight, boosting heart health, and preventing disease.
The leaves can be added to soups, stews, and casseroles, making them a versatile vegetable.
Lastly, taro leaves can be cooked and eaten plain similar to other leafy greens, such as spinach and kale, though it’s important to cook them sufficiently to reduce their oxalate content.
Get to Know Us
We operate on two acres of fertile river bottom and swampy soil which is ideal for Taro production. In addition to taro, we grow Tanyah, Kouson, Sijin, Pineapples, Plantains, and Bananas. In the past most of our produce was sold to St. Jude's Hospital and directly to customers. As a result of our increased productivity, we are seeking new markets for our produce.
Vision Statement
To become a leading Taro production enterprise that promotes sustainable farming through Agro-tourism
Mission Statement
To continuously increase efficiency and productivity while contributing to the food security of St. Lucia and stimulating youth in agriculture
